Chang Puak Bus Station sometimes referred to as terminal-1 is the local bus servicing the Chiang Mai Province. It should not be confused with "Arcade Bus Station" sometimes known as terminal-2 and terminal-3. Chang Puak Bus Station is situated just 600 meters north of the Chang Puak Gate to the old city.

(Chang Puak Bus Station = Thai: สถานีขนส่งช้างเผือก)

   - Destination sign reads, “Chiangmai - Thaton.”

   - Buses depart hourly.

   - Assigned seating upon ticket purchase.

   - Fares are 44 Baht per person : air-conditioned buses are 67 Baht per person (as of December 2023).

   - White van.

   - Destination sign reads, “Chiangmai - Fang.”

   - Vans depart hourly.

   - 7:00 am - 17:00 pm

   - Fare is 150 Baht per person.

   - Trucks depart every 30 minutes.

   - 6:15 am - 18:00 pm

   - Primarily for cargo, but also carries passengers.

   - Fare is 40 Baht (as of Feb. 2024).

** A notable feature of this truck is that it can also transport your rented motorcycle along with you. The motorcycle is carried either in the truck's bed or on its roof. The cost ranges from 200 - 250 Baht.　(Please inquire about the cost with the driver.)
